In 2007, after retiring from a long career as a heart surgeon, Dr. David Allen came to California and set up a practice issuing medical marijuana recommendations to qualified patients under state law. The 50-acre property he left behind in Mississippi, which was occupied by his sister and brother-in-law, became the target of a narcotics task force raid in early 2009. During that raid, law enforcement agents claimed that they found hashish, marijuana and cultivation equipment, all valued at approximately $1000. That was enough for authorities to arrest Dr. Allen’s relatives, start forfeiture proceedings on the 50-acre property, and issue a warrant for the doctor himself, who was in California at the time of the raid. Dr. Allen surrendered himself to authorities after learning of the bust, and he was taken into custody immediately. He endured a harrowing transport cross-country to Mississippi, only to bail out and return to California while awaiting the resolution of his case. Meanwhile, during a trip back to Mississippi in December 2009, Dr. Allen was arrested on new accusations that he was tampering with witnesses in his case and attempting to bribe them. From a Mississippi jail, where he was held without bail for the next fourteen months, the doctor denied those allegations and claimed he was merely trying to help his sister. In February 2011, the witness tampering/bribery charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence, and Dr. Allen went to trial on the charges from the earlier raid. Jurors couldn't agree on a verdict, however, and the case ended in a mistrial. Dr. Allen was released shortly afterward on a $200,000 bail bond and permitted to return to Sacramento, CA, while waiting to see whether his Mississippi case would be re-tried. In the meantime, he is available for consultation (upon appointment only) by calling 510-421-6179.

What they did you here is Mississippi was bull! To hold you in jail all that time that you could have been helping the sick, someone needs to help the sick SOBs that kidnapped you from the sick that you help.
I am a disabled american veteran, Vietnam era, so I can sympathize with you, my government has double crossed me too. In fact, I named one of my sunshine cross pictures with a double cross "Double Crossed".
Like everyone here, I lost everything and am not physically able to go back to work, 3 Dec 81,was hit head on by a truck at 60mph, I was in a volkswagon...took the jaws of life to get me out. Think I died three times that night. Nine months later I was released from the hospital at Keesler and from the Air Force, Sept 82. In 90, five disc were removed from my neck, had to retire from civil service but because the Air Force and civil service are from the Dept of Defense I get a combination of the two to equal on sum, but it's not enough to eat all month.
After the storm, the trees covered my house, National Guard couldn't get to it to check for dead or living. So I went to the beach and slept in my van with everything I had in the world. I woke up cold, so I started taking pictures of the sunrise...when I printed them I had sunshine crosses!! David, I have hundreds of them but I can't eat them so I try to sell them to make my food last until the end of the month. I'd like to send you a copy of my pictures that are registared with the Library of Congress. These pictures give you peace in your soul when you look at the sunshine cross, I can't explain how or why but they are there. They kept me strong so I'd like to send you a set to help you to stay strong...you're a good man. I too believe that God's medicine that works in other states could also work here. I don't understand how it could help in CA but not everywhere...dumb educated people annoy me! HaHa
Stay strong David...God knows "the grass grows for the cattle and the herbs are for man" or something like that.
Unfortunately I have to live in MS cause it is the lease exspensive state in the US. CA is out of the question on social security...unless you have a job opening...or need a guinnie pig. HaHa
Stay there, don't come back to MS. They are sooooo back asswards.
Your photos will be in the mail. Meanwhile, check the photos on my website: suncrossartgallery.smugmug.com It doesn't cost anything to look. HaHa
Stay Strong!
Sincerely,
Debi
